My Piping History in Brief
I have been playing the bagpipes for more than 20 years. I first competed at the National Championships in 2001, and that same year I was invited to play at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow.
Between 2002 and 2007, I won a number of solo and band competitions, including the South African National Solo Championships. By the end of 2017, I had performed at more than 1,500 weddings.
I tutored a school Novice Juvenile Pipe Band until 2020 and served as Pipe Major of a Grade 4 Senior Band until the same year. From 2023 to 2024, I played with the Transvaal Scottish.
Today my focus is on functions and entertainment piping: bringing professional live bagpipe music to weddings, corporate events, funerals, and special occasions.
